This Wednesday our team went to The Best Bar None Awards, which was hosted in a wonderful venue (although we may be a little biased!)
Best Bar None is an Accreditation Scheme with National Awards supported by the Home Office and the drinks industry which is aimed primarily at promoting responsible management and operation of alcohol licensed premises.
It was piloted in Manchester in 2003 and found to improve standards in the Evening and Night Time Economy, with premises now competing to participate. It has since been adopted by 75 town and cities across the UK and is now being taken up internationally.
We had a wonderful evening, with drinks, food and fun. The Electric Theatre’s own café bar came away with a Best Bar None Accreditation.
So a huge thanks to Experience Guildford for organising the event, and getting so many people involved in this scheme. Also a thank you to our Front of House and Café Bar Manager Emily, who has worked so hard to get our bar up to the standards that are needed.
p.s. The plaque we are holding up was not ours….we borrowed it from ‘Rubix’ for the photo!
